Why Canada GSS Visa?

  • Shortest route to migrate to Canada
  • Just two-week processing time
  • Talented skilled professionals can get in quick time
  • Foreign skilled workers are highly eligible
The Advent of GSS Visa

A shortest route for Canada immigration….

Canadian companies wanting to employ the top skilled workers are looking for a quick and obvious procedure to achieve it. To overcome these, the Global Skills Strategy (GSS) was introduced to aid all types of employers to find such talented personnel more quickly. It follows an approach to incorporate methods that process applications in quick time, take into account work permit waivers, and provides better services to customers.

International workers who qualify for this processing as per priority should have to fulfil other eligibility and acceptability requirements which would also include the provision of police certificates, if necessary. Suitable applicants need to submit all the essential documents along with their applications. If they fail to submit the necessary documents, they will not be eligible for the two-week processing time.

Global Skills Strategy in Detail

Canada has a wide range of talent and capable manpower. Despite this, you will face, at times, a requirement to hire expert workers from other countries to advance your growth. This is where Canada’s Global Skills Strategy steps in.

Employers in Canada want to attract top talent to work for their companies, and they want a fast and predictable process to fill the vacant positions. To help employers find highly skilled workers on a faster pace, IRCC introduced the Global Skills Strategy (GSS), which features two-week processing times, work permit exemptions and enhanced service.

GSS breaks down into three major parts, which includes:

  • Two-week processing for both high-skilled professionals as well as their dependents
  • The launch of Global Talent Stream for employers
  • Work permit exemptions for very short-term business travel to Canada
Eligibility Criteria for Global Skills Strategy (GSS) Visa

Foreign nationals eligible for this priority processing must still meet all other eligibility and admissibility requirements, including providing police certificates if required. If you are an eligible applicant, you must submit all required documents.
Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)-exempt workers qualify for two-week processing of their work permit application if they meet all of these requirements:

Criteria 1: Labour market impact assessment (LMIA)-exempt workers

They are applying from outside of Canada:

  • Their job is either skill type 0 (managerial) or skill level A (professional) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
  • Effective from November 16, 2022, revised to NOC 2021 Training, Education, Experience and Requirements (TEER) 0 will be NOC 2016 skill type 0 while NOC skill level A will be revised to TEER 1.
  • You should make use of the NOC 2021 levels on any employment offer submitted on or later than November 16, 2022.
  • The employer has submitted a job offer through the Employer Portal and paid the employer conformity fee.
  • Applicants of International Experience Canada do not qualify for two-week processing.

Criteria 2: Persons who need an LMIA

Personnel who need an LMIA qualify for two-week processing, provided they satisfy all of these requirements:

  • They are applying from outside of Canada.
  • The employer has a positive LMIA via the Global Talent Stream of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (this is on the decision letter of LMIA).

Criteria 3: Spouses and dependants

The spouse/ common-law partner of workers and their dependant ward also qualify for two-week processing of applications. This is applicable for the following applications:

  • Visitor visa
  • Work permit
  • Study permit

Spouses/common-law partners and dependent wards need to submit a finished application and apply along with the worker.

Requirements for GSS Visa

When applying from outside Canada, you will need to submit the following:

  • A filled-out application form
  • A health examination (if required)
  • Learn if you require a health examination and book it before applying so that you can include it in your application

  • Authorized translations of documents that are neither in English nor in French
  • Fees for processing
