Eligibility Criteria for VU Amsterdam Fellowship Programme for International Students

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

• International students who have obtained a GPA equivalent to Dutch 8
• International students who have been admitted conditionally or unconditionally to the first year of a full-time Master's programs that are taught in English at Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam beginning September 2024. 
• Applicants must not have completed their bachelor's degree in the Netherlands.
• Applicants need to have finished a preparatory program before they begin their Master's program.

Scholarship Benefits: No additional allowance is provided to cover study or living costs. Students need to be able to raise money to meet these living expenses themselves. 

Selection Process: With a merit-based tuition fee waiver, it is possible to combine the VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) with the Holland Scholarship Programme (HSP). Both of them are granted to students from outside the EU/EEA.

Furthermore, VU Amsterdam offers the Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS) to students hailing from Indonesia and India. It can be applied only by combining the VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) with the Holland Scholarship Programme (HSP).
