Express Entry is the most prominent route chosen by individuals especially skilled professionals for permanent resident status in Canada.
Express Entry is an online application management system that manages the applications of skilled workers interested in becoming residents of Canada. A points-based system is used to assess eligible applicants based on information in their profile, such as skills, work experience, employment status, and nomination. The Express Entry conducts draws to select eligible applicants from the Express Entry pool. These draws are conducted every two weeks, and individuals with a high CRS score have a greater chance of receiving an ITA Invitations to Apply (ITAs). There were a total 17 number of draws and issued around 32,475 ITAs to candidates.
The Express Entry manages applications related to the following federal economic programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
- Provincial Nominee Program
