Age:
- Applicants must be below 45 years old while applying for the visa
- There are, however, age exemptions for certain visa applicants
A valid nomination:
- You must obtain a nomination from an approved employer in any of the regional areas of Australia.
- The employer sponsoring you must be approved by the Australian government
- The position you are nominated for must be full-time with a duration of at least 5 years
Occupation:
- You must have an occupation that is listed on the Regional Occupation List (ROL) or the Skilled Occupation List (SOL)
- The occupation must be listed on the relevant occupation list
English language requirement:
- You must submit English Language proficiency while applying for the Subclass 494 visa
- A minimum IELTS band score of 6 in all four testing sections is preferred
Skills Assessment:
- You must secure a positive skills assessment for the occupation you are nominated
