H-2B Cap met for Additional Returning Workers
The H-2B visa cap for additional returning workers for the second half of Fiscal Year 2024 has been reached. 19,000 was the H-2B visa cap allotted for the early second half of Additional Returning Worker Allocations. The last date for candidates requesting petitions for supplemental H-2B visas was April 17, 2024.
The US is still accepting petitions for non-immigrant workers for nationals belonging to the following countries
- El Salvador
- Guatemala
- Honduras
- Haiti
- Colombia
- Ecuador
- Costa Rica

Petition dates for late Second half of 2024 Announced
New petitions for workers for the late second half of FY 2024 will begin on April 22, 2024. Workers requesting employment start dates from May 15 to September 30, 2024, will be applicable for the round of petitions. 5000 visas under this allocation are restricted to workers with H-2B visas issued or held status from 2021 to 2023.
