UK eVisa documentation extended till March 2025
The Government of UK has recently announced to extend the grace period of UK eVisa until March 2025. The physical visa documentation for international travellers, including Indians, switching to an eVisa system will be eligible for the extension on grace period.
The UK Home Office has urged the biometric residence permits (BRP), biometric residence cards (BRC) holders, and indefinite-leave-to-remain stamp holders to transition to eVisa by December 2024.

Switching to UK eVisa
The UK has embraced eVisas as around 3.1 million travellers have migrated using the digital system. BRPs and BRCs that are about to expire on or after December 31, 2024 are being accepted as valid travel documents by flights and airlines. This provision will be effective till March 2025.
The UK Home Office urged paper visa holder to switch to eVisa by using official website of the government. UK ILR holders are advised to apply for a free “No Time Limit” eVisa which can neither get lost nor get stolen.
