Most universities in Europe require international students to prove their English language proficiency before admission. The most commonly accepted tests are IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE. These exams evaluate a student’s ability to read, write, listen, and speak in English. Each university and program may have different minimum score requirements. In general, many universities require an IELTS score between 6.0 and 7.0 for admission. Some universities may also accept other English proficiency tests or may waive the requirement if the student has previously studied in English.
