A Netherlands Airport Transit Visa, also called a Type A visa, is required for certain nationalities who are changing flights at a Dutch airport on their way to another country. This visa allows you to stay only in the international transit area of the airport. You are not allowed to leave the airport or enter the Netherlands. If you need to pass through border control or leave the airport during transit, you must apply for a regular Schengen short-stay visa instead.
