A Work Permit is the employer’s approval from the Ministry of Labour to hire a foreign worker. It must be obtained before applying for the Work Visa. A Work Visa, on the other hand, is the document that allows the employee to enter Qatar and begin the residency process. Both steps are required to legally live and work in Qatar. The permit comes first, followed by the visa.
