You can stay in Qatar as long as your job continues and your employer renews your Qatar ID (QID) each year. There is no fixed maximum duration for staying in Qatar on a work visa. Many expatriates live in Qatar for 10 to 20 years with yearly contract renewals. If your job ends or you resign, your visa must be transferred or canceled as per labour rules.
