- The country has announced restrictions on converting a visit visa to a work visa. The conversion is possible only if the tourist visa is sponsored and the same sponsor is also applying for a work visa on your behalf.
- Bahraini employers must now cover skilled workers under the “Mandatory Health Insurance Scheme.”
- Skilled workers aged 60 years or above can apply for a new Bahrain work permit or renew their existing one.
- Both the pre-arrival medical fitness certificate and post-arrival medical fitness certificate are mandatory for Bahrain work visa applicants.
- The primary work visa applicant must now meet specific monthly salary requirements to bring their dependents to Bahrain.
- The country has introduced stricter exit and re-entry clearances.
