Australia offers humanitarian visa options under its Refugee and Humanitarian Program for individuals affected by conflict. These include several visa subclasses for those applying from outside Australia and a protection visa for those already in Australia.

Types of visas for those applying from outside Australia:

  • Refugee visa (subclass 200)
  • In-country Special Humanitarian visa (subclass 201)
  • Global Special Humanitarian visa (subclass 202)
  • Emergency Rescue visa (subclass 203)
  • Woman at Risk visa (subclass 204)

Protection visa(subclass 866): This is for people who are already in Australia and arrived on valid visa.

Community Support Program (CSP): A separate pathway that allows Australian community members and organizations to propose and support the resettlement of a refugee.
