To be eligible for the Express Entry system, applicants must meet the minimum requirements for one of the three federal immigration programs.
Here are some of the requirements for each program:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program(FSWP)
 
- Score a minimum of 67 out of 100 on the FSWP selection grid.
 - Minimum of one year of skilled work experience in the last 10 years
 - Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark(CLB) level 7 in English or French.
 - An educational Credential Assessment(ECA) for foreign education.
 
- Canadian Experience Class(CEC)
 
- Minimum of one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the last 3 years.
 - Minimum CLB level 7 for TEER 0 or 1 jobs, and level 5 for TEER 2 or 3 jobs.
 
- Federal Skilled Trades Program(FSTP)
 
- Minimum two years of skilled work experience in the last 5 years
 - Minimum CLB level 5 for speaking and listening, and 4 for reading and writing
 - Either a Canadian certificate of qualification or a valid job offer.
 - Proof of funds
