The requirements to apply for permanent residency, also known as Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), after holding a Skilled Worker visa are listed below:
- You must have lived and worked in the UK with a Skilled Worker Visa for five continuous years.
- During these five months, you must not have been outside the UK for more than 180 days in any 12 months.
- You must still be working in the same occupation with your UK-licensed sponsor at the time of your application.
- You must meet the salary requirements of your occupation.
- You must pass the Life in the UK test.
- You must prove a B1 level English language proficiency.
- Your employer must confirm they still require you for the role.
- You should not have any serious criminal record or immigration breaches.
