Here is the checklist for skilled migrants applying for Australian Permanent Residency:

  1. Eligibility Check:
  • Most skilled visas require candidates to be under 45 years old when they receive an invitation to apply (ITA).
  • Score at least 65 points on the Australian points calculator.
  • Ensure the job is listed on the skilled occupation list(MLTSSL or SOL).
  • Pass the skills assessment with a good score.
  • Meet the required English language standards.
     
  1. Expression of Interest (EOI):
  • Create a profile on SkillSelect.
  • Submit your EOI.
  • Consider State Nomination if it applies to you.

 

  1. Invitation to Apply (ITA):

  • If your EOI meets the needs and is ranked high enough, you will get an ITA to apply for the PR visa.
     
  1. Visa Application:
  • Submit your PR application.
  • Provide supporting documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Take a medical exam.
  • Submit police clearance certificates.
     
  1. Post Application:
  • Attend a biometric appointment.
  • Wait for the outcome of the visa application
  • Receive your PR visa grant letter.
