Once you have a work permit, you can apply for a permanent residence through immigration program like the Canadian Experience Class.
You must meet the following requirements:
- Have full time skilled work experience or at least 12 months experience in Canada which is gained in 3 years prior to applying
- Meet the required level of language skills in accordance with the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
