Skilled Occupation List (SOL) Australia 2024
The list of skilled occupations in Australia is in high demand. The main aim of the skilled occupations list in Australia is to invite skilled workers looking for short-term and long-term jobs in Australia. The list of SOLs, per the current labor market requirements, is updated regularly by the Australian Department of Immigration.
Candidates looking for Australia PR through state sponsorship must check the skilled occupations list before applying for an Australia PR Visa.
Australia has three types of Skilled Occupation Lists
- Medium and Long‑term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL): The Medium and Long‑term Strategic Skills list is for skilled professionals applying for a Skilled Independent Subclass 189 Visa. Subclass 189 Visa holders can live and work in Australia permanently.
 - Short‑term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL): The Short‑term Skilled Occupation List contains occupations that are highly in demand across various states and territories of Australia. This is valid for skilled professionals applying for a Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 Visa and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa Subclass 491.
 - Regional Occupation List (ROL): The Regional Occupation List is available for below visa categories:

- Subclass 494
 - Subclass 491
 - Subclass 407
 - TSS (M)
