Australian employers in designated regional areas must pay the Subclass 494 visa holders an average annual salary equivalent to and more than the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT), which is currently set at AUD 70,000, along with the superannuation. Employers must also pay the Skilling Australia Fund (SAF) levy to the Subclass 494 visa holders. The requirements that the employer must fulfill to sponsor a 494 visa are as follows:
- The sponsor must be approved by the Regional Certifying Body (RCB) for sponsorship.
