Major switch-up in Justin Trudeau’s cabinet
- The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, announced major changes in his cabinet on July 26, 2023.
- As part of the cabinet reassignment, Marc Miller, a former Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, was appointed as the new Immigration Minister of Canada.
- Sean Fraser, who was previously delegated as the Immigration Minister, will now be serving as the Minister of Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities.
- The decision to shuffle the cabinet was taken to promote public communications and government policies.

- The last cabinet shuffling occurred in October 2021, followed by a Federal Election, wherein Fraser was appointed the Immigration Minister and Head of the IRCC.
