IELTS
The person applying for Australia PR can take the IELTS. The required IELTS overall score is a minimum of 6 points, and the person should score at least 6 points in all four categories.
The minimum requirement of the score can vary depending on the visa type one is applying for.

PTE
The PTE score that is required to apply for Australia PR is a minimum of 65 points. The required PTE score might vary as per the requirements of the visa the applicant is applying to.
The PTE exam is valid for up to 2 years from the date of the exam.
Contribution to Australia PR Points
The points scored in the language proficiency test add a maximum of 20 points to the Australia Points Grid. The points are calculated based on the applicant's score. The points that are added as per the score are as follows:
