The Subclass 189 visa and Subclass 190 visa are Australian visas that allow foreign skilled workers to settle in Australia.

The Skilled Independent visa (Subclass 189 visa) allows a skilled worker to reside in Australia permanently without a sponsor. This visa enables skilled workers to live and work anywhere in Australia permanently.

Whereas the Skilled Nominated visa (Subclass 190 visa) allows an applicant to reside in Australia permanently with a state or territory sponsorship. The Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) is a permanent visa that will enable workers with skills needed in Australia to live and work anywhere in the country permanently, provided an Australian state or territory nominates them.
