Overseas applicants of UAE Visit Visa have been contacted by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs. These are those who have applied for the Visa but have not been offered one due to incomplete applications.
The announcement
was made by Head of Medical, Educational
and Tourist Visa section of the GDRFA Majid Ali Juma’a First Lieutenant. He
said that the administration has got in touch with several overseas applicants
of UAE Visit Visa. These have applied to the Visa from their respective
nations. This is to facilitate and ease procedures for those who intend to
arrive at the UAE, he added.
The initiative
is a part of the vision of the Ministry
of Interior said the First Lieutenant. This is to place the UAE in the top
position in the world with regards to services, he added.
The measure
comes even as several online complaints
have been filed from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, and other nations. These
have claimed that their applications for UAE Visit Visa are being rejected with
no reasons being offered.
An investigation
into the complaints revealed that some documents were missing in the
applications said the First Lieutenant. Consequently, the applicants have been
contacted by the officers through travel firms, email or telephones. The issue has been clarified to the
applicants in their language, he added, as quoted by the Gulf News.
The applicants have
expressed gratitude for this initiative said First Lt. Juma’a. They also
appreciated the efforts being taken by
the UAE to welcome overseas visitors, he added.
First Lt. Juma’a
said that UAE offers a distinct model of people care generally under its leadership.
Procedures have been simplified for facilitation and are fast-tracked. The services across all divisions for visitors
to the UAE have also been made modern and innovative. This is as 2019 is
the ‘Year of Tolerance’ he informed.
He urged the people to utilize smart service ‘E-Channels’ of UAE while
submitting their applications.
