Iceland Digital Nomad visa, launched in 2020, is issued to individuals who are interested in working remotely in the country. The individuals must be self-employed or must have an employer out of Iceland. The individuals applying for a digital nomad visa can live in the country for 180 days and are permitted to travel within the Schengen area.
The individuals must earn a minimum income of 1,000,000 ISK per month and around 1,300,000 ISK per month if accompanied by a spouse.
The individuals must meet the requirements to be granted a digital nomad visa. If the individual intends to work for employers in Iceland, they must apply for a work permit.
