Key findings from an analysis conducted by the Canadian immigration agency CanadaCIS using immigration statistics from 2009 to 2021 show that Sweden is the top nation where non-EU residents can obtain citizenship easily, with one in ten applicants, or 9.3%, being granted citizenship.

According to the recent analysis done by the agency, Portugal emerges as one of the 10 nations where obtaining nationality is simple.
The nation secured fourth position out of 32 European nations. This indicates a 6.6% acquisition rate, with over three out of every fifty residents from third-world countries successfully becoming citizens.
Following Portugal, the Netherlands and Iceland are also on the list of nations that award citizenship the quickest.

The study highlights Estonia as the nation with the greatest challenges, with only one in every 200 individuals successfully obtaining citizenship. This indicates a 0.6% acceptance rate, the lowest among the 10 nations. Men have a lower likelihood of being accepted with a lower acquisition rate of 0.58 per cent compared to women with 0.69 per cent.
