Swedish Permits Issued in 2024

According to Schengen News reports, Sweden issued around 23,870 work permits between January and October 2024, a record-high number among all permits issued by Sweden in 2024.

Recent statistical data states that around 80,336 permits were issued by Sweden in the first eight months of 2024, among which one-third or nearly 30% of permits were Swedish work permits issued to foreign workers. Family reunification permits were Sweden's second most popular type of permit granted in large numbers.
