South Korea setting up of a visa facility for applicants of Mongolia

D.Davaasuren, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met Oh Song, the Ambassador of Korea to Mongolia, to discuss setting up of a South Korean visa facility for applicants of Mongolia, AKIpress cited the UP Post as saying.

He submitted to Oh Song an official letter highlighting the enabling of smoothed visa restrictions between the two countries, besides reciprocal visa waiver and granting of multiple-entry visas to Mongolian leaders and heads of businesses who pay taxes of more than MNT 500 million, or $201,655, per year.

According to Davaasuren, frequent foreign affairs meetings between South Korea and Mongolia have gone a long way in increasing investment, improving economic ties and cooperation, defending Mongolian citizens’ individual legal rights of travelling and staying in South Korea, in addition to addressing the concerns facing cooperation of consular affairs.

Both the countries decided to hold a consultative discussion in the first half of next year. Davaasuren said that their ministry was working to improve consular ties, for defending the rights of citizens of Mongolia living abroad and to provide them with quicker and comfortable consular services.

He added that the measure to enable granting of multiple-entry visas to entrepreneurs from the Asian country sandwiched between Russia and China was an attempt on part of Mongolia to support indigenous businesses in their cooperation, ties and international trade.
