
South Australia has further altered the status of certain occupations on its Occupation List. Australia visa aspirants should make a note of these changes before submitting their applications.
Here is the latest status of the occupations:
- 224113 -Statistician -Special Conditions Apply- Proficient English (or Proficient Plus overall); Offshore applicants Subclass 489 (Provisional) visa only- VETASSESS
- 232414 -Web Designer- Low Availability- Competent English; Offshore applicants Subclass 489 (Provisional) visa only- VETASSESS
- 312312 -Electrical Engineering Technician -Special Conditions Apply- Competent Plus English (or Proficient overall); Offshore applicants Subclass 489 (Provisional) visa only- TRA
For occupations which have their status as “Special Conditions Apply”, you cannot apply unless you meet the requirements for the same. This is also true for the occupations listed on the Supplementary List of South Australia.
To apply under “Special Conditions Apply” or the Supplementary List, you must meet one of the conditions below:
- You must be an international graduate of South Australia
- You should have worked in South Australia for the last 12 months in a skilled occupation
- You should have an immediate family member who is a PR or citizen of Australia residing in South Australia
- You should have high points, that is, you need to score 80 points or above
Australia Visa aspirants should also note that occupations under “Low Availability/Available” may close any time, as per Immigration SA.
The above update is applicable for both the Subclass 190 and Subclass 489 Visa.
