South Korea will offer Group Visas to travelers from India in 2019. This is its latest measure to attract overseas travelers. The Ministry of Finance and Economy made this announcement. It was in a crucial economic meeting presided over by Moon Jae-in the President of South Korea.
As of now, Group Visas are offered by South Korea to 5 nations. These include Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, China, and Vietnam.
Around 1, 23, 416 Indians arrived at South Korea in 2017 as per the official data. This accounts for 0.9% of all overseas visitors to the nation. South Korea plans to increase the numbers of overseas travelers to the nation in the coming years, as quoted by the EN YNA CO KR.
Indian applicants of South Korea Visa will normally require the below documents:
- Original passport with 6 months validity and minimum 2 blank pages
- Application form for Visa
- 2 latest photos with dimensions 35X 45 mm, matte finish, white background, face size
- Hotel reservation
- Booked air tickets for the return journey
- The original statement of personal bank account showing the earnings in past 6 months duly signed and stamped by the bank
- Last 3 years Income Tax returns
- Cover Letter
- Profession evidence
The following documents will also be required if visiting a family/friend:
- Visa and passport copies
- Guarantee letter and invitation letter from invitee
- Copy of alien card
- Proof of address
- Last 6 months Bank statement and Salary slips if sponsored
