First OINP Draw of 2024 – Ontario issued 1,451 invitations
On January 9, 2024, Ontario held its OINP Draw. Ontario issued 1,451 invitations in the new draw through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The program targeted different categories of workers. The applicants who have received invitations can apply for permanent residency through the OINP Foreign Worker Stream.

The occupations that were targeted were Skilled Trade, healthcare, and tech. 630 invites are made under the Foreign Worker stream to candidates in Skilled Trades with a score of 33. 821 invitations were issued to candidates with a score of 40 on the Ontario Expression of Interest system. Both require a job offer.

- Two years of work experience in the previous 5 years
- Mandatory licensing in Ontario
- Should be living abroad or be studying or working in Canada with a valid permit.
- Intention to settle in Ontario.
