South Australia has altered the status of some occupations for its State Sponsorship program. These changes are applicable to both the Subclass 190 as well as the Subclass 489 Visa.

Occupations where the
status is “Special Conditions Apply” is only open to those candidates who meet
the special requirements.
You may apply for an occupation under “Special Conditions
Apply” if:
- You have completed your studies from an
educational institute in South Australia - You have a blood relative who is a PR or Citizen
of Australia and currently living in South Australia - You have been working in South Australia for the
past 1 year in a skilled occupation - You
are scoring high points on the GSM points grid, i.e., 80 points or above
Applicants who aspire to apply for state sponsorship for
South Australia should keep these changes in mind before applying.
Occupations which are under the status “Low Availability/
Available” may be closed at any point time, as per Immigration SA.
