New changes in UK Immigration Rules have been published on March 7, 2019. The Statement of Changes HC 1919 includes details about the UK Tier 2 Immigration rules. In addition, it also comprises changes in Tier 1, Tier 4 and other Immigration Rules.
The changes were proposed to be effective
from March 30, 2019. The minimum salary level of Immigrants has changed as part
of these changes. The changes have been effective from the end of March. The
Statement has confirmed the same.
Applications made
before March 30, 2019, will be considered based on the new rules, as quoted by carterthomas.co.uk. The
country met the Restricted Certificate of Sponsorship (RCoS) allocation cap
last year. The Statement has brought some changes to the point system. It will
determine which applications will be accepted. The new UK Tier 2 Immigration
Rules will apply to all Immigrants holding the RCoS.
Immigrants wishing to switch from Tier 4 to Tier 2 Immigration Stream can submit an application up to 3 months. However, they must apply for the same before the course completion date. Also, they cannot start working in the UK until they have completed the course. The revised UK Tier 2 Immigration Rules have established these norms.
The UK Tier 2 Visa is a General Work Visa. Immigrants have to meet the following criteria in order to be eligible -
- They should have
a skilled job offer in the UK - They should not
hail from the Europe Economic Area and Switzerland
The Immigrants must have a job offer by a
licensed sponsor. The entire process usually takes around 3 weeks of time. The
cost for the same ranges from £610 to £704. With the Tier 2 Visa, Immigrants can stay in the country for up to 5 years.
However, the revised UK Tier 2 Immigration Rules will apply to their
application effective from March 2019.
