Three new Australia Visas have been announced and it is inclusive of one Permanent Residence Visa. The Subclass 491 and Subclass 494 are the 2 new Regional Visas that will come in to effect from November 2019.
The Skilled Regional Subclass 191 Permanent
Residence Visa will become operational from November 16, 2022. It is aimed
at bringing in more number of skilled immigrant workers to regional Australia,
as quoted by the SBS.
David Coleman
the Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs Minister has released an
explanatory statement. This is regarding the New Skilled Regional Visas Migration Amendment Regulations 2019. It
states that the new Subclass 191 Visa imitates numerous current general
requirements for PR Visa. This includes character, health and security
requirements.

Immigration Expert Usha Rajesh said that the new PR Visa will be available only for specifically skilled immigrants.
These must have already stayed and worked in Australia for 3 years on November
16, 2022, she adds.
Skilled Regional
Subclass 191 Permanent Residence Visa can only be applied by those who hold the
new Subclass 494 and 491 Visa. They must also have earned least income for 3
years on the Regional Provisional Visa.

government has also closed 2 Australia Visas:
• Regional
Migration Sponsored Scheme Subclass 187 Visa
• Regional
Provisional Skilled Subclass 489 Visa
The Subclass 187
Visa has been replaced by the newly created Employer Sponsored Regional Subclass 494 Visa. The Subclass 489
Visa has been replaced by the Subclass 491 Visa. The former was among renowned
Australia Visas for skilled workers inclined to move to regions in Australia.
The Employer
Sponsored Subclass 494 Regional Visa will help regional Australia employers to
recruit overseas skilled workers. This is through the Labour and
Employer-Sponsored Agreement.
The Regional Provisional Skilled Work Subclass
491 Visa is the other Visa. It is a Visa based on points for applicants
backed by a government agency of a Territory or State. They can also be
supported by a family member staying in the designated regional area.
