Australian travelers can now enjoy the privilege of free visas or e-visas in certain countries.
Travelling has become less complicated to Australians thanks to passports with chips which can be scanned at airports. Immigration officials also have access to a database of information which makes it easy to screen passengers entering their country. So, which are the countries Australians can easily travel without the hassles of having a visa?
India
India recently made its e-visas valid for one year from the date of approval. With a tourist e-visa, tourists can travel to India multiple times and can stay for a maximum of 90 days every time.
China
China has extended its visa-free policy to Australians. They can now enjoy longer stays in many of its cities. They can stay up to 144 hours in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and several other cities without applying for a visa before they travel to China. However, to be eligible for this visa they must have an onward ticket to a third country so that they will be travelling out of the country within the 144-hour period.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka in a bid to encourage more tourists has given the visa on arrival privilege to many countries including Australia. These visas have a validity of 30 days.
Madagascar
This country offers an e-visa to Australian tourists. They can stay here for 90 days. The country also offers multiple entry visas and non-immigrant visas on arrival.
Egypt
Australians can get e-visas to travel to Egypt. This can be either single or multiple entry visas.
Ethiopia
Australian tourists to Ethiopia can apply for an e-visa with a validity of either 30 days or 90 days.
Uzbekistan
Australians no longer require a visa to enter Uzbekistan as a tourist and they can stay here for up to 30 days.
Kazakhstan
Australians can enter the Republic of Kazakhstan without a visa and stay here for up to 30 days. Traveling to other countries is becoming seamless. As a logical extension, the visa requirements must be seamless as well!
