Manitoba has offered 209 Letters of Advice to Apply for Provincial Nomination for Canada PR Visa in the latest draw held on 7th June. LAAs were offered to candidates in the Overseas Education, Skilled Overseas Workers and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams.
The stream wise
LAAs break-up is as follows:
• Overseas Education Stream: 28
• Skilled Overseas Workers: 60
• Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 121
The candidates
who have been offered the LAAs must submit the full application to MPNP - Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
within 2 months. MPNP permits Manitoba to select candidates in economic class
immigration for Canada Permanent Residence Visa.
The stream
Manitoba Skilled Workers is open to qualified temporary international workers and student graduates. They must be working
in Manitoba presently. A full-time and enduring job offer must also have been
offered to them by an employer in Manitoba.
The stream
Overseas Skilled Workers authorizes MPNP to select qualified immigration
candidates outside of Canada. They ought to have an established association
with Manitoba. This could be the support of friends or family members, or
previous work experience or instruction in the province. They can also have an
invitation through one of the Initiatives
for Strategic Recruitment of the MPNP.
All candidates
under the Overseas Skilled Workers who obtained the LAAs on 7th June were
invited straight through an Initiative for Strategic Recruitment.
The stream
Overseas Education offers 3 routes for Canada PR to qualified overseas
graduates from Post-secondary institutions in Manitoba.
The first step
for being considered for a Provincial
Nomination from Manitoba is to submit an EOI - Expression of Interest to
MPNP. Applicants are offered scores that will decide their rank in the pool of
candidates. This is depending on the answers they offer in the EOI, as quoted
by the CIC News.
The candidates
who score the highest are then offered LAAs through monthly draws. MPNP said
that 18 LAAs were offered to candidates in the federal Express Entry pool.
These are required to submit a separate
EOI with the MPNP. They must also have a validation code as a job seeker.
Experience in any one of the occupations on MPNP’s In-demand occupation list is
also needed.
Candidates who
obtain a nomination from a province in Canada are offered 600 extra
Comprehensive Ranking System score points. They are thus fast-tracked for an
ITA for Canada PR Visa.
