Japan visa rules will be simplified for Indians from 1 January 2018 and manifold entry-visa will be offered to them for a stay of short-term. This move is anticipated to benefit business persons, tourist, and frequent visitors as well. The announcement for the easing of Japan visa rules was made by the Embassy of Japan.
The eased Japanese visa regime for Indians will simplify the documents for visa applications. It will also broaden the range of qualified applicants for the Japan visa, as quoted by the New Indian Express.
The visa application credentials will be simplified for multiple entry visas. In this case, the explanation letter elaborating the motive and employment certificate will be exempted. The press release of the Foreign Ministry of Japan elaborated on the simplified Japan visa rules for Indians. It said that applicants of multiple –entry-visas will require only 3 documents. These include documents to prove financial ability and passport visa application form. Business immigrants will be required to prove their affiliation to enterprises via documents.
The changes to visa rules will also broaden the range of qualified applicants for the Japanese visa. A 5-year validity multiple entry visas for maximum 3 months stay will be offered. This will be for applicants who have more than or equal to two journey accounts to Japan in the previous 12 months. These applicants will also be required to submit only visa application form and their passports.
The press release said that the simplified visa regime is expected to enhance the exchange of people between India and Japan. Thus conveniences for frequent visitors, business persons and tourists from India are being enhanced. Earlier in February this year, Japan had simplified visa application process for sole entrance students from India.
