IRCC launched category-based selection criteria for EE candidates
Every year Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be choosing few categories based on the workforce demands and will be inviting the EE candidates. In 2023, IRCC will be inviting Canada Express Entry candidates in the following 6 fields:
- French language proficiency or work experience
- Healthcare
- STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) professions
- Trades (carpenters, plumbers and contractors)
- Transport
- Agriculture and Agri-Food
Eligibility criteria
To receive an invitation through a category-based round, you need to meet all the below eligibility requirements to apply for Canada PR:
- Candidates in the EE pool who meet the category requirements and
- Be in a top-ranking position in EE pool
