Dubai witnessed a surge in the number of Indians arriving at the airport in 2023
India secured the top position for the most number of passengers flying through the Dubai International Airport, with a total of 11.9 million guests. The Dubai Airport exceeded both its yearly forecast and pre-pandemic levels. Furthermore, it is forecasted that DXB will receive 88.8 million guests in 2024.
DXB is presently associated with 262 destinations across 104 countries through 102 international carriers. According to ACI World’s globally recognised Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program, DXB received the highest result with a score of 4.5.
CEO of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths, highlighted that 2023 was an excellent year and a testament to DXB’s dedication to innovation, efficiency, operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Dubai witnessed an exceptional 86.9 million passengers who arrived in 2023, marking a 31.7% increase. 86.4 million passengers were recorded in 2019.

Reduced waiting times and security check-ins at Dubai airport
A total of 77.5 million bags were processed by DXB in 2023, the highest volume of bags handled during the year at the airport. DXB retained its success rate of 99.8% in handling the bags despite the 24.6% year-over-year increase in the volume of baggage.
Over 95% of guests experienced less than seven minutes waiting at the departure passport control, and 97.5% of guests experienced an average waiting time at the security check-ins of less than four minutes.
