The numbers of quality Indian students seeking US Visa is increasing across US Consulates said Katherine B Hadda. She is the US Consul General in India. This is the observation of US Visa officers across India, added Hadda.
Lesser
unqualified Indian students now apply for US Visa said Hadda. However, some of them still turn up with fake
documents, she added. The US Counsel General made these remarks with
regards to the latest Farmington University sting operation. This has resulted
in the arrest and detention of many Telugu students.
Hadda beseeched
the Indian students to not to file fake
document s for US Visa application. She also urged them to abide by the
laws of the nation when in the US, as quoted by the New Indian Express.
The US Consul
General in India issued her first statement on the Farmington scam. She said
that she would not even call the accused
individuals as students. Many of them were already residing in the US for a
long time. The Court will take the necessary action, she added.
However, we are
sure that all of them were aware of what they were getting into said Hadda. We
also do not enjoy whatever is going on. Our aim is that students arrive at the US for good education and do so lawfully,
explained Hadda.

Hadda highlighted the significance of being
honest to a US Visa officer. They have no choice but to reject the
applicants if found to be lying, she explained. Such applicants can also be
made ineligible permanently, informed Hadda.
The US Consul
General also addressed the issue of unlawful
agents who lure or trick students to opt for illegal ways. Many prospective
students get lured by unlawful brokers, she said. We are working with the
government to shut them down permanently, said Hadda.
