India has emerged as the top 4th source nation for overseas students in London. The numbers of students from India choosing London as their study abroad destination increased by 20% in 2017-18. This is in comparison with the previous year and as revealed by the latest official statistics.
London attracted 5,455 Indian students in 2017-18 who enrolled in courses in the diverse Universities in the city. This was up from 4, 545 in the year 2016-17, as quoted by Dev Discourse.
India held on to
its 4th rank among the top source nations for overseas students in
London. This was after China with 21,
350 students, the US with 7,105 and Italy with 5,770 students.
The latest
statistics are based on the data of UK’s HESA - Higher Education Statistics Agency.

was along with China that also registered an equal 20% increase. This is the

cheered the latest statistics. These have revealed that the numbers of students

The Deputy Mayor for Business in London Rajesh Agarwal
said that he is delighted with the latest statistics. These reveal that London remains a big attraction for young and
brightest global talents, he said. So many overseas students are opting for our
city as their chosen destination for study abroad. This is to discover and

elaborated that London has the highest number of top Universities in the world
than any other city. Its buzzing
