In 2015, there were just 3% of skilled workers among all the migrants from non-EU countries to Germany.

The main source countries (non-EU) for skilled workers in Germany are:

  3. The USA
  4. Serbia
  5. Bosnia and Herzegovina

In 2017, 635,000 migrants from other EU countries migrated to Germany. 60% of these were skilled workers holding a vocational or University degree. European countries which saw the most number of migrants to Germany were:

  1. Poland
  2. Croatia
  3. Romania
  4. Bulgaria
  5. Italy

Germany now needs potent immigration laws for securing a skilled workforce for the German labor market. The Govt. plans to acquire more skilled workers from EU and non-EU countries, as per Trend News.

Germany now needs to adopt immigration laws which accelerate migration management. The laws should also better recognize vocational qualifications acquired overseas. The laws should also look into the betterment of the disadvantaged domestic groups, unemployed, and low-skilled people.
