What are the visas you apply for to migrate to Australia?

The following are the visas you can apply to migrate to Australia:
 

  • Skilled Independent visa or Subclass 189: This visa is specifically designed for skilled professionals who have not been sponsored by an employer based in Australia or a state/territory. Candidates willing to apply for this visa must get at least 65 points on the point assessment.
  • State Nominated visa or Subclass 190: This visa allows skilled workers to migrate to the country. However, you must receive a nomination from any state/ territory of Australia. It is a permanent visa.
  • Skilled Regional Visa or Subclass 491: This provisional visa permits skilled workers to settle and work in a particular regional area for around 5 years. It is not a permanent visa. However, candidates who will reside in the country for 3 years can apply for a Skilled Regional visa to get a pathway for Australia PR.
