The Subclass 189 visa, also known as the Skilled Independent visa, is a points-based permanent visa designed to attract skilled workers with specific requirements to address the labor shortage. To acquire a Subclass 189 visa, an applicant must score 65 points on the skill assessment. The Skilled Independent visa is a permanent residency visa for individuals who have qualifications and don’t need a sponsor to apply for this visa.
