15 Agents, 1 Constable and 2 employees of separate airlines have been arrested in Hyderabad. This is as a part of the investigation for the Visa fraud and human trafficking racket busted recently.
2 More personnel of the Police
are expected to be arrested soon. Both are Head
Constables with the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Police. They are on
deputation at RGI Airport’s Immigration
Desk, as quoted by the Times of India.
More than 70 people had tried to
immigrate to Kuwait with fraudulently obtained tampered Visas.
VC Sajjanar the Police Commissioner of Cyberabad addressed a Press
Conference in this regard. He said that 15
agents who have been arrested were executing the Visa fraud in connivance
with G Madhu, Chevella constable. Mohammed Mujeeb Khan team leader Gulf
Airlines and Annapa Reddy Ram Linga Reddy Oman Airlines former employee were
also involved with them said Sajjanar.
The Employment Visa sticker in the Passports would be removed by the agents
by heating it with an iron box. They would erase the leftover stamp on the
Passport by using Ink Remover. This would be replaced with the Visit Visa,
explained the Police.
The potential employees would
conceal the original documents such as Employment Visa. This is in their
garments or in the hand baggage. The workers tear up the fake Visit Visa after boarding the flight before alighting at the
destination. They would then affix actual Employment Visa in the Passports.
The original documents are offered
to Kuwait Officials upon arrival. These include the Employment Visa and PCC - Police Clearance Certificate.
Unskilled workers who seek
overseas jobs and have not passed the SSC exam should get ECR clearance. POE - Protector of Emigrants offers the Emigration Check Required clearance.
People contact agents to tamper their Passport and Visa to bypass the process.
N Prakash Reddy the Shamshabad Deputy Commissioner of Police said
that Constable Madhu was authorized to offer PCC. This was in the absence of the
Constable authorized for it. He was unlawfully offering PCC to disqualified
people. This was through fraudulent ways to make money, said Reddy.
