
Canadian Immigration authorities have offered 21,200 Canada PR ITAs in the first quarter of 2019 (January to March). The last draw for this quarter was held on 20 March 2019. It offered 3, 350 ITAs for Canada PR. It was equal to the number of ITAs offered in the last 3 draws.

The minimum CRS
- Comprehensive Ranking
System score in the latest draw was 452. This was 2 points lesser than
the previous draw.
The cut off for
the tie-break in this draw was 7 February 2019 just prior to EST 6 AM. The
cut-off is based on the time and date of
submission of profiles by the candidates. This is if more than 1 candidate
has the lowest score, as quoted by the CIC News.
21,200
candidates have received ITAs from Immigration,
Refugees and Citizenship Canada so far in 2019. Canada has an immigration
target of 81, 400 for high skilled immigrants in 2019. This is after the record
yearly Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.
The latest draw
was the 6th round for ITAs in 2019 and 113th overall
under Express Entry.
Express Entry system was
implemented by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada on 1 January 2015.
It is an immigration system that manages
applications from skilled workers under Federal Economic programs. This is
inclusive of:
- Skilled Worker Federal Program
- Skilled Trades Federal Program
- Experience Class Canada
Program - Some programs under the
Provincial Nomination Programs
The immigration
stakeholders are anticipating around 30 draws and 80,000 plus ITAs in 2019. The
majority of the draws are also likely to
have CRS minimum below 460. This is to ensure that the immigration
authorities in Canada can meet the yearly target for immigration levels in
2019.
