Types of Canadian Visa
Canada offers several visas to visitors and expats willing to migrate to Canada. Depending on the length and purpose of your visit, you may apply for temporary or permanent visas.
Temporary Canada Visas
IRCC offers temporary Canada visas to visitors willing to come to Canada for a temporary or short stay. The following are the types of temporary visas offered by Canada:
- Canada Tourist Visa: allows the holder to visit Canada as a tourist and stay in Canada for a period of 3 to 6 months.
- Canada Transit Visa: allows the holder to transit through Canada while flying to your destination country. Transit visa holders can stay in Canada for 48 hours or as long as their next flight is due.
- Canada Study Permit: allows the holders to study and live in Canada for the duration of their program.
- Canada Business Visa: allows the holder to visit Canada for business purposes and stay in Canada for a period of up to 6 months.
- Canada Temporary Work Visa: allows the holder to migrate to Canada for a temporary job offer from a Canadian employer.
- Canada Working Holiday Visa: allows young nationals from 30 countries to travel and work in Canada for up to 23 months.
Permanent Canada Visas
IRCC offers temporary Canada visas to visitors willing to come to Canada for a temporary or short stay. The following are the types of temporary visas offered by Canada:
- Canada PR Visa: allows holders to reside in Canada as legal residents for 5 years.
