The Canada CRS
score decreased by 3 points to reach 462 in the latest Express Entry draw held
on 26th June. The Government of Canada offered 3, 350 Canada PR Visa invitations to eligible candidates. This was
also the second successive draw to witness a decrease in cut-off points after
29th May when it reached 470.

The Canada CRS
score of a candidate is based on diverse factors. This includes among other language proficiency in French or English,
Education, Age, and Skilled work experience.

In order to
qualify for the Express Entry pool, candidates do not need a Canada Job offer.

The highest
ranked candidates are offered ITAs- Invitations
to Apply for Canada PR Visa
. This is through frequent draws in the pool
that are normally held once in a fortnight, as quoted by the CIC News.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada resumed the 2-week gap between the successive draws. This can be
responsible for the decrease in the Canada CRS score cut-off.

The May 29th
draw had higher than the normal cut-off score as almost 1 month elapsed between
2 all program draws. These involve all the 3 economic immigration programs managed by Express Entry.

The Express
Entry pool gets extra time to refill with high-scoring candidates when more
time elapses between draws. This can have an impact on increasing the CRS
minimum score.

17:40:54 UTC on 11th May 2019 was the tie break used by IRCC in the latest draw.

What it implies
is that all applicants with CRS score higher than 462 received the PR Visa
invites. Also, those who scored 462 and furnished their profiles in the pool
prior to the specified tie-breaker obtained the ITAs.

The June 26th
draw adds up the total ITAs offered so far in 2019 to 41,800.
This is an addition of 2,100 ITAs offered by IRCC by this time in 2018.

IRCC offered
89,800 invites for PR Visa in 2018 and this record can be broken in 2019. This
is given the higher target of intake of immigrants for 2019 as well as 2020. It
is through the 3 major economic immigration programs.

Y-Axis Immigration Expert Usha Rajesh said that this is the second successive draw witnessing drop in CRS
minimum. This is due to the return to the 2-week gap between draws by IRSS,
added the Immigration Expert.
