British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program
From January 2025, BC PNP will replace the current International Graduate and International Post-Graduate Streams with three new streams. The three new streams are the Bachelor’s stream, the Master’s stream, and the Doctorate stream. These updates are made so that students know the level of education and language skills required to be nominated for BC PNP. Newcomers willing to come to British Columbia will be more successful at work and earn a high income if they have higher education and language skills in French or English.

The three graduate streams set for international students are:
- The Bachelor’s Stream: The Bachelor’s stream is for graduates who hold bachelor’s degrees from qualified post-secondary institutions. Graduates with an undefined full-time job offer can register for this stream.
- The Master’s Stream: The Master’s stream is for graduates with master’s degrees from qualified post-secondary institutions in any field of study. Graduates with a minimum one-year full-time job offer in a skilled occupation can register for this stream.
- The Doctorate Stream: The Doctorate stream is for graduates and candidates of doctoral-level programs from qualified post-secondary institutions. PhD candidates can apply directly to this stream.

British Columbia said these changes aim to achieve better student outcomes and create a clear pathway for them. Individuals identified by the BC PNP will have a successful career and earn a high income in BC. The BC PNP is an immigration program that is available for people looking to come to BC; it provides a clear pathway for Canada PR. A minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 8 is currently set for the new graduate streams.
