British Columbia

In the latest Tech Pilot draw held on 31st December 2019, British Columbia issued 31 invitations. Invitations were issued under the British Columbia Skills Immigration and British Columbia Express Entry categories.

All selected candidates belonged to either the Skilled Worker or the International Graduate sub-category. The minimum required score in the latest Tech Pilot draw was 90 points.

The Tech Pilot of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program is a fast-track pathway to Permanent Residency for skilled tech workers and international graduates.

To be eligible for the BC Tech Pilot, a candidate needs to have a permanent, full-time employment offer from British Columbia. The job offer should be for anyone of the 29 eligible tech occupations.

To apply for a provincial nomination through British Columbia PNP, you must first create an online profile. You can do so through the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of British Columbia. Each eligible applicant receives a score based on factors like education, work experience, language skills, location of employment etc.

Candidates in the Express Entry Pool can add an extra 600 points to their CRS score if they obtain a provincial nomination. The added points guarantee an invitation for Permanent Residency of Canada in the subsequent draws.

Here are the results of the BC Tech Pilot draw on 31st December:
