British Columbia in Canada held another invitation draw on 15th October. The province issued 277 invites to candidates in the Express Entry and Skills Immigration categories to apply for a provincial nomination. There are three sub-categories under the Skills Immigration category:

  • Skilled Worker
  • Entry Level and Semi-skilled
  • International Graduate

Likewise, there are two sub-categories under the Express Entry BC category:

  • International Graduate
  • Skilled Worker

The minimum cut-off score for both the Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories ranged between 80 and 102 points.

Candidates who have an EOI (Expression of Interest) in the Express Entry Pool may apply under the Express Entry BC sub-category. Successful candidates who get a provincial nomination have an extra 600 points added to their CRS score in the EE Pool. To apply under any Skills Immigration category, a candidate needs to create a separate profile with the online system of the BC PNP. Interested candidates need to register with the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). The BC PNP uses the SIRS, which is a points-based system to evaluate registered candidates. SIRS scores candidates on factors like education, language skills, work experience, etc., as per CIC News.

All invited candidates under the Express Entry and Skills Immigration categories must have a permanent, full-time job offer from British Columbia. Here is a breakdown of the results of the 15th October BC PNP draw:
