In the latest draw held on 9th July, British Columbia issued 218 invitations to Skills Immigration(SI) and EE candidates.
British Columbia PNP issued the invitations under the
following categories:
- SI-International Graduate
- SI-Skilled Worker
- SI-Entry-level and Semi-skilled
- EEBC-Skilled Worker
- EEBC-International Graduate
The 9th July draw had a higher minimum cut-off
between 80 and 110 points. In comparison, the previous draws had a cut-off
between 75 and 105 points.
In order to apply,
candidates need to register through the SIRS (Skills Immigration Registration
System) of BC PNP. Points are awarded on various factors like education,
work experience, employment offer from BC etc.
The EEBC (Express
Entry British Columbia) categories are open to candidates who have a valid
profile in the EE pool.
Candidates who get approved for a provincial nomination get
600 points added to their CRS score thereby guaranteeing an ITA.
Skills Immigration (SI) is not aligned with the Federal Express Entry Program. SI candidates who receive an invitation need to submit their Permanent Residence Visa application directly to IRCC, as per CIC News.
